Description
Understand the issues and charting errors that may arise with and how to prevent inaccurate records.
More than ever before, patients are involved in and curious about their medical care. With electronic medical recordkeeping, patients can review their medical record, including test results and imaging, electronically and quickly. While this access allows patients to take a more active role in their healthcare, it also creates additional pressure on providers to document patient encounters and results accurately. This program will review the consequences of inaccurate records, best practices, and the use of technology in reviewing medical records. The presenting attorney will use real life examples from their practice to demonstrate the importance of strong documentation practices and the big consequences of small mistakes.
