Understand the key statutory and regulatory requirements under the Clean Water Act.The Clean Water Act is a wideranging environmental statute, with provisions and implementing regulations directly impacting numerous business and government agencies across the country. Regulations developed under the Clean Water Act are often subject to extensive debate and public comment, and issues under the statute are often litigated, with certain cases reaching the United States Supreme Court. The purpose of this course is to provide a comprehensive overview of the Clean Water Act, with specific emphasis on three of the Act’s most significant areas of regulation, those being water quality standards, total maximum daily loads, and stormwater, each of which are subject to a myriad of statutory and regulatory requirements.
